CHANGE IN TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS FOR MODEL "40" SERIES CONNECTING ROD BOLTS |
Tests conducted on the Model "40" Series engine connecting rod bolts and nuts indicated that the torque specification of 70-80 foot-pounds on the attaching nut is higher than necessary. Therefore, the torque specification has been changed to 55-60 foot-pounds.
This new torque specification for the connecting rod bolt attaching
nut is also applicable to all Model "M" Series Tractors.
