CHANGE IN TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS FOR MODEL "40" SERIES CONNECTING ROD BOLTS

Tests conducted on the Model "40" Series engine connecting rod bolts and nuts indicated that the torque specification of 70-80 foot-pounds on the attaching nut is higher than necessary. Therefore, the torque specification has been changed to 55-60 foot-pounds.

This new torque specification for the connecting rod bolt attaching nut is also applicable to all Model "M" Series Tractors.
