LOCATION OF STOP CHANGED ON 48"-80" ADJUSTABLE AXLE
Model "40" (Tricycle) Tractor

As an aid in preventing possible failure of the M2190T pivot shaft rear support on Model "40" (Tricycle) Tractors, the stress on the support has been reduced by changing the stop location on the AM2063T center section of the adjustable axle assembly. The axle stops have been extended 5/8-inch farther from the center of the pivot shaft bore toward the end of the axle. This reduces loads on the stops by increasing the length of the effective lever arm from pivot to stop.

Figure 28BThis change was effective on Model "40" (Tricycle) Tractor, Serial No. 40-73110. To improve earlier tractors in this manner, the axle stop on the left side should be relieved to a depth of 3/16-inch for a distance of 1-1/8 inches from the inner edge of the stop, or 2-7/8 inches from the center of the pivot bore (see Figure 28B).
