JACK ATTACHMENT AVAILABLE
John Deere Model "40" Standard Tractor

Figure 25BTo make it easier to change rear wheel treads on Model "40" Standard Tractors not equipped with power-adjusted rear wheels, a jack attachment is now available (Figure 25B). This jack is operated by the Touch-o-matic hydraulic system.

It can be attached quickly, as follows:

Figure 25APlace the jack assembly under rear of tractor with jack blocks ("A," Figure 25A) under drawbar rear bottom support. Insert shackle pins ("B") through balls at rear end of load links and secure with load link lock pins. To operate, start engine and place Touch-o-matic control lever in maximum lift position. This raises the rear of the tractor, providing approximately 1-1/2 inches of clearance between tires and ground surface.

The part number of the jack attachment is AM2304T.
