1954 John Deere 40 Standard

Stacey N. from Tennessee sent along some pictures of his 1954 40S (Serial # 67831). He writes, "The man that I bought the tractor from bought it in 1956 from the man who bought it new, and the little tractor has never been out of Weakley county since it was new. It was overhauled about five years ago and has had excellent care. I plan to repaint it and do some minor repairs this winter (2000-2001) (I work in the agriculture field so most projects are done outside of crop time)."
