August 1999 Tri-County Two-Cylinder Club

In August 1999, the Tri-County Two-Cylinder Club was invited to be a featured attraction of the Wayne County Fair. Now, there is not much "county" left in Wayne County, Michigan, as the city of Detroit makes up much of the county. So the fair itself was not very large compared to those in districts where the primary industry is farming. But the "tri-county" area of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties makes up the bulk of the Detroit Metropolitan area and has a population of roughly 4.5 million people.

So when the Tri-County Two-Cylinder club put on a show, it was A LOT of tractors! Dennis Polk had an auction one of the mornings, and my friend Scott and I went to the auction and show. Scott bought an Oliver 1600 at the auction (the only Oliver there) and ended up driving it 45 miles in the process of getting it home. I took my camera along and snapped a bunch of pictures.

There was no way for me to capture all of the tractors, so I tended to focus on the 40's (and related models) and a few standouts. I'd like to share some of these pictures with you.
