Here is a 40T with a wide front axle. The theme at the show was "Three Centuries of John Deere", hence the contemporary model 9400T in the background. Of course, there were many other JD's at the show. Quite a few of them were parked in a circle where these two Deeres were situated.

These photos show an attractive fleet of JD 420's, three of them Utility models. All of them except the crawler have the upright style steering wheels like the 40 models. I believe that the one for sale and the Utility next to it had consecutive serial numbers!
