1953 John Deere 40 Tricycle

Jim G. from Pennsylvania writes, "I am sending you two pictures of my 40T that were taken the day after we brought it home in October (2000). It is an on-going project. I designed a bracket that holds a stabilizer and a step to assist in climbing onto the tractor. I also changed the John Deere stickers on the hood to some bigger ones. I've been busy getting 3-point hitch implements painted to match the JD instead of our Ford 8N (which we just sold last month). I'd like to get the 40T re-painted and maybe try to get a straighter grill for it, but for now, I'm just looking forward to some warm weather so that I can get out and 'play' with it!!! ( I've only plowed snow once this winter!!!)."
