My Claim to Fame

This is my claim to fame. Have you ever seen the tractor repair videos by J&D Productions in your local farm store? Well, I'm in one of them. That's me, the ugly one on the left. Dan (right, who is one of the co-owners of J&D Productions) and Scott (center, who owns Vintage Tractor Sales) are both personal friends of mine.
Dan had been getting frequent requests for a repair video on JD Powr-Trol hydraulics. I had been forced to tear mine apart a few months prior to doing the video because the leather cup on the hydraulic piston of my A had blown out. So I had already been through the procedure once. For the first part of the video we actually used my '49 A to demonstrate the repair procedures. The second half of the video, where we demonstrate the pump repair, was done on another tractor.
Scott and Dan are true entrepreneurs - any tractor or piece of equipment they own is for sale for the right price. I tend to look for a piece of equipment that I need and that I'm going to use for a long time and only buy it once.
As you can probably guess, we had a ball putting this video together, and we all learned things while we were doing it.
J&D Productions makes a full line of tractor repair videos for John Deere, Ford, Ferguson, and Allis-Chalmers. Vintage Tractor Sales carries the full line. Find out more about these videos and order yours through Vintage Tractor Sales. These certainly won't replace a parts catalog or technical manual. But they are a good visual aid to provide some insight as to what it takes to do a repair job. They also cover several of the "gotcha's" that a technical manual doesn't.
